As a mental health therapist for nearly 30 years, I have had the great honor of walking alongside people who are going through difficult, confusing, overwhelming, and sometimes dark times.  Being able to offer light in the darkness, hope in the chaos, and a gentle place to find healing and support has been a fulfillment of my heart's design.

As I enter the midpoint of my own midlife journey, my heart is expanding with a longing to connect more deeply to myself and to others who are also navigating this profound time of life.

What if the "something" you are exploring and discovering is you?

In this powerful stage of transformation, we need space where no one is asking anything of us.  Where we don't have to know or do or figure anything out.  Where we can gently rest, explore, and discover.

Why a Spiral?

Why a Spiral?

As we walk this path together, an image of the spiral comes to mind.  The spiral, one of our most ancient and enduring symbols, represents the winding journeys we must take inward if we’re to truly know ourselves.  From these never-ending journeys we return with infinitely more power and wisdom.

As we walk this path together, an image of the spiral comes to mind.  The spiral, one of our most ancient and enduring symbols, represents the winding journeys we must take inward if we’re to truly know ourselves.  From these never-ending journeys we return with infinitely more power and wisdom.

Let’s meet on the path, take a moment to reflect, and find meaningful ways to connect.  I can’t wait to see you there!

"We're all just walking each other home."  Ram Dass

Why this group?

These are troubling times.  Much around us feels in flux; there’s so much pain and confusion.  Navigating this at all is difficult.  Add to that the challenges of midlife and things sure can feel overwhelming!  We are in this middle place – between young and old, between growing children and aging parents, between shifting work roles and expectations, between relational deepening and fracturing.  Our bodies are changing, our identities are shifting, our existential questions are deepening.  Who am I?  What’s my purpose?  Who is taking care of me?

With so much information coming at us all the time about who and how and what we’re “supposed” to be, we don’t often give ourselves permission to pause and really check in about what’s most important to us – who we are and how and what to show up for.  In this sacred time of transition, nothing could be more important.  We stand for slowing down, tuning in, and living with intention. Whole-heartedly.  We stand against the cultural myth of self-worth through busy-ness, denial of self, and the misplaced hope that one day, when we're older/richer/more successful, it will just be better.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at lynette@themidlifemavens.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Each group we will follow a similar format:

  • A few minutes to settle in with a short arriving practice,
  • a topic for reflection and contemplation,
  • participation in guided self-discovery,
  • an opportunity (optional) for sharing as a supportive, small group community, and
  • some time to set intentions for the coming month.

Once you have signed up for the group you'd like to attend, a Zoom link will be emailed to you at the address you entered on your registration.

I believe everyone deserves the gift of self-reflection, -discovery, and -growth, regardless of their finances.  This is why I offer pricing options.  Pay what you feel most comfortable with.  When you choose to pay more, your support helps me to make our groups accessible for everyone.  No one will be turned away for inability to pay.  Please contact me directly to inquire.
